PURPOSE:
To ensure the safety, compliance, and optimal performance of leased electrical systems and equipment (e.g., generators, electrical panels, lighting systems, or machinery with electrical components). Ensures that all electrical assets are properly maintained, inspected, and operated.
qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, and other relevant programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
- Project management skills to oversee electrical aspects of projects.

duties and reponsibilities:
- Electrical engineers are responsible for designing electrical systems for renovations, and existing buildings. This includes creating schematics, drawings, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Ensuring all electrical designs adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and standards is crucial for safety and regulatory compliance.
- Provides technical guidance and supervision during the construction and installation phases of electrical systems. This includes reviewing contractor submittals, inspecting work progress, and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Once electrical systems are installed, engineers conduct commissioning and testing to verify that they operate correctly and meet performance requirements. This may involve testing individual components, the entire system, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of electrical systems. This includes scheduling regular inspections, testing, and cleaning of equipment.
- When electrical issues arise, electrical engineers are responsible for diagnosing problems, identifying potential causes, and developing solutions for repair. This may involve inspecting equipment, analyzing data, and coordinating with maintenance technicians.
- Prepares & provides cost estimates for electrical work, including materials, labor, and equipment. Analyze bids from contractors and recommend the most cost-effective options.
- Developing and maintaining electrical standards for the company.
- Providing technical expertise and support to other departments within the company.
- Supervising electricians and ensuring work orders are being completed in a timely manner.
- Preparing and sending of reports to top management and tenants, if necessary.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining appropriate stock levels of repair or replacement parts, ordering supplies, and managing inventory costs.
